2009 RECAP
October 9-18th 2009 the first East Rock West Rock: New Haven Music Week, took place in New Haven CT. ERWR was created to bring original music back into venues, bars, nightclubs, and restaurants of New Haven. The goal was to also generate business in the city. In first year ERWR hosted 140+ bands in over 20 venues during the 9 days making it the largest music festival in New England.

ERWR held national acts such as platinum artists Eve 6, Mike Posner (J records), Big Sean (Good Music), Colin Munroe (Universal Motown), and New Found Glory (Epitaph Record). Local acts were spread throughout the city and on any given night over 15 bands could be seen performing at various venues. On Thursday October 15th ERWR made New Haven music history by hosting the most acts ever in one night. ERWR touched upon every genera and demographic creating mass appeal to all age demographics.
